Block Island Ferry cancels high speed service as Lee heads north

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WLNE) — The remnants of Post-Tropical Storm Lee disrupted Block Island Ferry service on Saturday.
The Block Island Ferry canceled all high-speed departures amid a high surf advisory for coastal New England.
The traditional ferry leaving Block Island at 8:15 a.m. and leaving Point Judith at 9 a.m. were also canceled.
Staff will contact anyone with vehicle reservations for the canceled ferries to reschedule. Those with passenger reservations can use the tickets once service is back to normal.
Traditional ferry service from Block Island and Point Judith is set to resume at 11 a.m.
