Block Island Ferry resumes service after concern over strong winds, sea conditions

NEW SHOREHAM, R.I. (WLNE) — The Block Island Ferry will resume service after a storm hit the region Sunday night into Monday.
The next ferry will run at 11 a.m. from Point Judith.
Ferries are expected to be on schedule for the remainder of the day.
Service was cancelled on Sunday evening and early Monday morning amid a coastal flood advisory.
Coastal flooding was the biggest concern amid heavy wind and rain across Southern New England.
The storm was at its worst around 4 a.m. Monday.
