Pawtucket police investigate shooting

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night.
Police Chief Tina Goncalves said one person was shot and taken to the hospital.
She did not have an immediate update on the victim’s condition.
Police do not have a suspect in custody, but the shooting appears to be targeted, Goncalves said.
Bloomingdale Avenue in Pawtucket has been shut down for the police investigation.
Police responded to the area around 6 p.m.
