Board of Licenses to address stabbing outside Federal Hill bar among recent incidents

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Board of Licenses will address a stabbing incident outside a Federal Hill bar in its meeting Wednesday.
Providence police said a man sustained non-life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed outside Saint on Atwells Avenue.
The board called for an emergency meeting Tuesday and ordered the bar to close for 72 hours, which is standard procedure for these types of incidents.
Club Desire gentlemen’s club and Saje Kitchen are back on the agenda Wednesday, after the board decided to continue discussions last week.
The board will speak on a stabbing that happened outside the gentlemen’s club earlier this month.
Police said 33-year-old William Ingram-Hughes was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge. It’s unclear if any arrests were made in connection to the stabbing.
An ongoing discussion surrounds Saje Kitchen after police responded to the restaurant twice in one weekend in October.
The first was in regard to multiple license violations, and the second was for a disturbance that involved an assault against a police officer.
Police said Taylor Martone, 27, faces assault of police officer, a felony. She is expected in court in January 2024.
