Body found in Providence River

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Providence Police Department said that the body of a man was found in the Providence River near Aleppo Street Thursday.

Chief Oscar Perez said that the body of a 53-year-old man was found on the bank of the river around 7 p.m.

The identity of the man and his cause of death are unknown. The incident is still under investigation.
