Body of missing swimmer who suffered seizure pulled from water in South Boston

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) – The body of a swimmer who suffered a seizure in Pleasant Bay was pulled from the water Thursday evening, Massachusetts State Police confirm.

The 19-year-old male was swimming with his brother when he did not resurface, authorities say.

Air and ground units responded to Pleasant Bay around 3:30 p.m. The swimmer’s body was recovered around 7:25 p.m.

Boston Fire, Boston Police, Quincy Police, and the Massachusetts State Police were all involved in the search.

The swimmer’s name has not yet been released.
