Victim identified in Houghton’s Pond drowning

MILTON, Mass. (WLNE) – The victim who drowned in Houghton’s pond was identified as a 39-year-old Quincy man who was at the pond with his son.
His body was pulled from Houghton’s Pond in Milton Thursday evening following a search for a possible drowning victim, state police confirmed to ABC6.
The Man’s body was recovered shortly before 8 p.m.
An investigation determined that the man entered the pond trying to retrieve a soccer ball that had gone into the water.
He ventured past the buoy rope and went underwater. Witnesses called 911 when he did not resurface.
