Body recovered at Newport shoreline

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department on Environmental Management said that a body was recovered from the Newport shoreline on Wednesday.

The body was found near Brenton Point State Park.

RIDEM said that police are waiting for identification from the medical examiner’s office and the investigation is ongoing.
