Boston Celtics officially change hands to new owner Chisholm
BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The sale of the Boston Celtics to a group led by Bill Chisholm has been finalized.
The sale cost more than $6.1 billion.
The finalization was just confirmed in a press released from the C’s.
The NBA approved the deal unanimously last week.
Chisholm takes ownership of at least 51-percent of the team, with full control coming by 2028.
In a statement, Chisholm says quote, “We are committed to building on the legacy of the Celtics and raising banners.”
