Boston crews ordered out of building after fighting eight-alarm fire

BOSTON, Mass. (WLNE) — 150 firefighters in Roxbury were on hand to try to get an eight-alarm fire under control Sunday.

After about 30 minutes in to fighting the flames, firefighters were ordered out of the structure.

Fire crews said the facility contains unknown construction materials, which caught on fire.

Boston’s fire commissioner said piles of materials are deep and dense which could end up burning for days.

Health officials advise nearby residents to keep their doors and windows closed as the fire continues to burn.
