Boston man arrested for passing counterfeit money in Dartmouth

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — Police arrested a Boston man Monday evening after he was passing counterfeit money at a mall.
27-year-old Jaumell Clayton was arrested at approximately 4:15 p.m. Monday after he was identified as the person who was passing counterfeit bills at Olympia Sports in Dartmouth Mall.
Officers seized additional counterfeit money in addition to a small portion of cocaine when they took Clayton into custody.
Clayton is facing the following charges:
- Possession of counterfeit notes,
- Uttering counterfeit notes
- Possession of a class B substance
Prior to these charges, police learned that Clayton had two outstanding warrants.
