Box truck rolls onto other vehicle in Norton

NORTON, Mass. (WLNE) — The Norton Police Department said it responded to a motor vehicle accident on East Main Street and Burt Street where a box truck landed onto another vehicle.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when the truck attempted to avoid a vehicle turning left onto Burt Street.

The truck hit a tree and rolled onto its side on top of the passenger side of the car.

Police said the two passengers of the box truck were both transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

The department added the street was closed for two-and-a-half hours for it to be cleared, and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection responded to the scene for fluid leaks.
