Report of weapon at Toll Gate HS that sparked lockdown unfounded

Toll Gate High School in Warwick was put on lockdown Friday morning after a rumor circulated about a possible weapon at the school.

Winman Junior High School, DrumRock Early Childhood Center, and The Warwick Area Career and Technical Center were also been put on lockdown as a precaution.

Superintendent Philip Thornton says an investigation was conducted and is now concluded.

Warwick Police say the investigation determined there was no safety risk to students or faculty.
