Bristol County DA identifies suspect in Fall River stabbing homicide

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III has identified the suspect accused of stabbing and killing a man in Fall River on Monday.

The suspect, 48-year-old Robert Hodgson Jr., was charged with murder.

According to Quinn, Fall River officers responded to a residence on Chesworth Street around 2:15 a.m. for reports of a person who had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, police found 53-year-old Luis Xavier Perez Miranda had been stabbed in the chest.

He was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hodgson was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Fall River District Court on Monday afternoon.

The stabbing remains under investigation.
