Bristol police ask for public’s help in finding hit and run suspect

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) – Bristol police are asking the public for help in their search for a car involved in a hit and run on Saturday.
Police said the silver Chevrolet van was involved in a hit and run on Saturday. The accident happened around 12:40 p.m. on Ferry Road, in front of Roger Williams University.
Authorities said the license plate on the car at the time of the accident was AX-265, but it does not match the make or model of the van.
