Bristol-Providence Ferry service resumes Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said that the Bristol-Providence Ferry will resume service Thursday after disruptions due to severe weather.

RIDOT said the service will begin a half hour later than usual, at 6:30 a.m., and the 6 a.m., 7:30 a.m., and 9 a.m. ferries will be canceled.

The last morning ferry will depart at 9:30 a.m., and afternoon services will be normal.

The ferry is expected to end service on January 19 due to low ridership and cost.

More information can be found on the ferry’s website.
