Brockton home shooting leaves 27-year-old dead

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — According to WCVB, one man is dead after be was fatally shot in his home on Sunday morning.

Authorities shared with WCVB that around 2:15 A.M., Brocton police responded to a shooting on Hoover Avenue.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found 27-year-old Sederick Abreau suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Abreau was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is currently no information about a potential suspect, nor any reports on any arrests related to the shooting.

Investigators said that the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence.

This is an ongoing investigation.
