Brockton man accused of defrauding 95-year-old woman out of $150,000 expected in court

DORCHESTER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Brockton man accused of defrauding a 95-year-old woman of nearly $150,000 is expected in court today.

Dominique Emmanuel, 41, will be arraigned Thursday on multiple charges including medical assistance fraud and larceny.

Emmanuel was employed as the woman’s personal care assistant, and is accused of stealing money from her bank account.

This includes collecting rent money intended for the victim, and taking out a reverse mortgage on her home.

Emmanuel will face a judge in Dorchester District Court.
