Brown students protest college’s handling of sexual assault

Protestors silently marched Wednesday through university hall, which houses the office of the school’s president.
Many protestors taped one-dollar bills across their mouths. The organizers say this symbolizes how victims have been silenced by the school.
The university recently dropped its inquiry into drugging allegations by two female students who attended a party by the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity last Oct. 17.
Organizer Jeanette Sternberg Lamb says the protest is a way to offer support to the women, who joined in the march but chose to remain anonymous.
College spokesman Mark Nickel says the university is confident in the integrity of its process and the decisions that were made.
