The Bruins had a total of three consecutive first round picks after trading Dougie Hamilton the Calgary and Milan Lucic to the LA Kings earlier in the day.  The B’s used the 13th pick acquired in the Lucic deal to take defenseman Jacub Zboril who played with David Pastrnak for the Czech Republic in the World Juniors.  Zboril is a defenseman with offensive capabilities.  He played for St. John’s in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Bruins owned the 14th pick coming into the draft, and used the spot to draft left wing Jake De DeBrusk, a goal scorer for Swift Current in the WHL.  He likes to play physical, just like his father Louie who played in 401 games in the NHL.  Louie once played for Claude Julien.

The Bruins then had the 15th pick, acquired earlier in the day from the Flames for Dougie Hamilton.  The B’s surprised many by taking winger Zachary Senyshun of Sault Ste.Marie of the OHL.  He scored 26 goals and had 19 assists in 66 games.
