Bruins Select Two in First Round of NHL Draft

The Bruins had two picks in the first round of the NHL Draft Friday night in Buffalo. With the 14th pick, the B’s selected Boston University defenseman Charlie McAvoy. He is the youngest player in the draft, turning 18 last December.
With the 29th pick of the first round, the Bruins selected Trent Frederic from the U.S. Development program. The center is a native of St. Louis.
The draft continues on Saturday.
