Brutally cold start to the week

Hopefully you enjoyed the winter wonderland over the weekend! Be careful heading out today– whether you’re walking on sidewalks or driving on the roads as the far-below-freezing temperatures and leftover moisture could make for icy spots on untreated surfaces.

On that note, temperatures will be rough today, even for this time of year. We’re waking up in the teens but feeling like we’re at or below zero thanks to the dry air and the wind. Yikes! Even this afternoon, which will be mostly to partly sunny, we’ll only be in the mid 20s, feeling like the teens. Be prepared to layer up.

Overnight, we’re back into the teens with some clouds around. But Tuesday begins a week-long warm-up! Now, don’t get me wrong– Tuesday itself will not be warm. We’ll be mostly sunny and still below average with highs in the low 30s. But it’s a start.

We’ll be in the 40s by Wednesday, and low 50s by Thursday! However, we pay the price for the milder air on Friday. Highs will be around 50, but we’ll see rain move in early in the morning and continue through most of the afternoon.

Stay warm today!
