Bryant to Face Marist in Play-in-Game in NCAA Lacrosse Tournment

Bryant news release…
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The four-time Northeast Conference Champion Bryant University men’s lacrosse team is headed back to the NCAA tournament for the third-straight season in 2015 and will, for the second time in as many years, start their journey in the NCAA play-in game against MAAC Champion Marist on Wednesday, May 6.
Wednesday’s game will be hosted by the Red Foxes (13-3) in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., with the winner earning the right to face off against second-seeded Syracuse (12-2) in the NCAA First Round Sunday, May 10 (7:30 p.m.).
The No. 3 seed in the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament, the Bulldogs (8-9) faced one of their toughest schedules ever in 2014-15, but came together when it mattered most, avenging regular-season losses to second-seeded Hobart in the NEC Semifinal, 11-8, and top-seeded Saint Joseph’s, 10-6, in Saturday’s NEC Championship Game.
Marist clinched its second MAAC Championship in program history with a 16-14 win over Quinnipiac University Saturday at home, earning its first NCAA tournament appearance in a decade with the victory.
