Bryant’s Shane Morrell Named NEC Player Of The Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University men’s lacrosse senior Shane Morrell (Glen Mills, Pa.) was named the Northeast Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Morrell was a key offensive weapon in his first game back after a three week hiatus. The senior scored four goals for Bryant to go along with a pair of assists in the Bulldogs’ 13-12 NEC opening victory at Robert Morris. The Glen Mills, Pa, native currently ranks second on the team in points (20) and leads the squad in goals (15).

Morrell and the Bulldogs return to the field on Tuesday night at No. 3/2 Brown in a battle for the Ocean State Cup.
