Buildings evacuated after bomb threat at Brown University

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Brown University and Providence Police say the officials issued an all-clear update for campus around 5:45 pm.

Officers found no evidence of a credible threat. Buildings that had been evacuated are now reopened, and university operations have resumed as normal.

This comes after a bomb threat on campus on Sunday.

The report came in just around 4 p.m.

In a text alert sent to students and facility, the University said all buildings on the Main Green are being evacuated and investigated after the threat.

Similar threats were seen across the country at other Ivy League campuses this week. The most recent happened Sunday at Columbia, Brown, and Cornell. One at Yale was reported on Friday.
