Bullet casing found on Rhode Island College campus

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – A bullet casing has been found on another college campus in the state Thursday, the second in as many days.

Rhode Island College officials say the casing was found in a parking lot on campus near Alger and Whipple halls Thursday morning.

Campus security says there is no immediate threat on campus, and out of an abundance of caution there will be increased police patrols around campus.

This comes a day after CCRI’s Warwick campus was evacuated for a bullet casing found near a classroom.
