BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — The Burrillville Animal Control has found one of two lost pigs in town.

The agency posted photos on social media of a spotted pig that has been “on the ham” for weeks.

Shelter officials wrote “The Aporkalypse – Part 1” was complete after it was found on Buck Hill Road on Wednesday afternoon.

The pig had went missing soon after its arrival to a new home.

Shelter officials said it was doing well and was catching up on some rest.

“The Aporkalypse – Part 2: Porkapalooza” is ongoing as the agency searches for a second lost pig.

Shelter officials asked the public not to feed loose pigs, as it makes it more difficult to capture them. They said pigs can root up plenty of food on their own.

People are also asked not to try to physically capture a pig themselves.

Shelter officials said it would be helpful if they are able to lure a pig into a fenced in area.

Anyone who sees a loose pig can call the Burrillville Animal Control at 401-568-9480.
