Burrillville Defends Title by Beating Cumberland in Shootout for Series Sweep

Defending champion Burrillville defeated Cumberland, 2 to 1 in a shootout to make it back-to-back Division 1 state titles.  The Broncos and Clippers were tied at one heading into overtime.  After two OT’s, the game went to a shootout. The Broncos won the shootout 3 to 2 thanks to goalie Byran McConnell who stopped the shot that sealed the victory.  He was named the MVP.
