Burrillville man dies after getting caught in cement truck hopper
SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE)- A Burrillville man died on Thursday as the result of a cement truck accident.
Matthew Maynard, 33, was performing maintenance on a cement truck at Greenville Ready Mix when he got caught in the truck’s hopper.
Officials from both the Smithfield Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene at around 9:50 a.m., when reports came in regarding the incident.
Investigators found that Maynard had suffered a fatal injury during the accident.
The incident was reported to OSHA.
