Burrillville man identified in construction accident

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — A man who died in Burrillville on Saturday after a construction accident has been identified.
According to officials, 52-year-old James Haczynski was located underneath a Lull machine when police arrived on scene Saturday.
Witnesses on scene stated Haczynski was operating the Lull attempting to guide a large tree as another worker cut the tree down.
The tree shifted, causing the Lull to overturn throwing Haczynski from the machine resulting in Haczynski being pinned underneath.
He was pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Rhode Island Medical Examiner’s Office and OSHA were contacted and reported to the scene and took over the investigation.
A representative from OSHA said they are inspecting Rhode Island Disposal, Inc. to determine whether or not there were any violations of “workplace safety.”
The inspection can take up to six months, and details of the inspection cannot be shared.
