Burrillville man killed in North Smithfield crash

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — A Burrillville man was killed in a crash on Douglas Pike this weekend.

Police responded to a single-car crash just after 1 a.m. Sunday.

32-year-old Jamey Scheer was found unresponsive at the scene.

He was taken to Landmark Medical Center, but pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

An accident reconstruction team is investigating the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Smithfield police.
