Burrillville police investigating Friday morning crash

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WLNE) — Burrillville police are investigating a crash that knocked down a telephone pole Friday morning.
Police responded to Iromine Road after 7 a.m. Friday.
Major Albert Carlow said police found a Jeep Cherokee on its roof with the driver trapped inside.
Carlow said 21-year-old Davin Alarie was driving.
He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said.
Police did not comment on the seriousness of the injuries.
Carlow said officers investigating the crash determined Alarie had been driving eratically prior to the crash.
Police said he was crossing and damaging residents’ lawns and striking mailboxes.
Carlow said the investigation is ongoing and Alarie could face charges for reckless driving.
