Businesses prepare for spring snow

It’s April 2nd and snow is on the way. Some businesses are rushing to get their winter gear out of storage.
"We’re going to get some snow so we brought out the shovels, and the salt, and our snow brushes back out,” said John Milhomens, the store manager of Benny’s on Branch Avenue in Providence.
Milhomens spent his Saturday freshening up the massive display at the front of the store, pushing the gardening equipment to the side to make room for snow removal gear. He said customers haven’t been rushing in to buy it.
"They’re looking at it and they’re saying, ‘What? Snow again?’ They can’t believe it,” Milhomens said.
But believe it. Saturday’s April showers are expected to turn into snow showers.
"We really don’t pack up any of our equipment until flowers start coming out which I know it is April and it’s getting to be that point but we’re always ready to go,” said Justin Walkow of 24/7 Snow Plowing.
24/7 Snow Plowing’s fleet of trucks is just waiting to hit the streets. They say no storm comes as a surprise.
"I mean it is New England. We get snow all of the time. So preparation is the biggest thing, making sure everything is ready to go at all times,” Walkow said.
