Candle light vigil to be held for North Smithfield motorcyclist who died in crash

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — The North Smithfield Police Department announced that a candle light vigil will be held for a city resident who was killed in a motorcycle crash in Woonsocket.

The vigil will be held Thursday, August 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the North Smithfield Turf Field.

Police ask that participants only bring battery candles.

Joe Rossi, 20, was killed in the crash on August 24 on Truman Drive.
