ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The Capron Park Zoo announced its inviting visitors to experience the life cycle of a butterfly this summer.

The zoo said their “Amazing Butterflies” exhibit brings the challenges of being a caterpillar as it transforms into a butterfly through hands-on mazes and exhibits.

“We’re so excited to be hosting ‘Amazing Butterflies’ here at the zoo this summer. The maze is an interactive and fun way for our visitors to learn more about the important role that pollinators play in our ecosystem,” said the zoo’s Interim Director Brenda Young.

Visitors can mark their progress as a butterfly by stamping a souvenir garden card at eight stations before zooming out of the maze as a butterfly on “The Monarch Monorail.”

The zoo said it plans to host more pollinator themed activities and events at the zoo throughout the summer, including collaborations with the URI Master Gardeners and the installation of a pollinator-friendly garden around the pond.
