Captive hunting bill heads to House

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A bill that would make captive hunting illegal in Rhode Island is heading to the state house.
Rep. Scott Slater of District 10 in Providence is the sponsor of the legislation.
Captive hunting is defined as “physically preventing an animal from escaping the hunt,” which includes; fences, natural barriers, or manmade structures.
Captive hunting has already been banned in 20 states.
If passed, the bill would head to Governor Dan McKee’s death for signature.
