Car collides with police cruiser on Route 6 in Johnston

JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Treacherous conditions from Tuesday’s nor’easter led to a police cruiser being struck by a car in Johnston.

The Rhode Island State Police cruiser was hit from behind on the eastbound side of Route 6 just before 4 p.m. near the Killingly Street off-ramp.

There was no word of any injuries in the incident.

ABC 6 News has reached out to state police for comment and will update the story as more information is provided.
