Car crash snaps Providence utility pole causing power outages

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Over 100 customers in Providence are without power this morning due to a crash.

The number of outages has dropped from 330 people within the past hour.

This is in the area of Donelson and Chad Brown Street.

The crash happened around 2:30 this morning.

Our photographer saw RI Energy on site fixing a snapped utility a pole.

Police are currently blocking off sections of the road, including Camden at Veil Street and Chad Brown street to Ruggles Street.
