Car crashes into building in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET R.I. (WLNE) – Pawtucket Police say no one was injured after a car crashed into a building Monday night.

Police say the unidentified female operator was attempting to park in the area of West Ave and Sayles Ave, and mistook the gas pedal for the brake pedal; leading to the sudden crash at 7:33 p.m.

The building sustained heavy cosmetic damage, but the City building inspector was called to the scene and deemed the building safe.
