Car crashes into playground at Pawtucket school
PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — A car crashed into the playground at Henry Winters Elementary School in Pawtucket on Friday.
Police responded to the school around 4 p.m. to find an SUV had driven through the fence at the corner of Carnation Street and Greene Street.
Officers said there were no children on the playground at the time of the crash and an elderly operator and grandchild passenger were taken to area hospitals to be evaluated for reported minor injuries.
