Car crashes into restaurant at Hotel Providence
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Crews were cleaning up debris at Hotel Providence on Mathewson Street this morning.
According to the city’s spokesperson Anthony Vega, at approximately 12:23 a.m. this morning, police responded for a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a building.
The damage to the building was cleared to be safe until the building inspector could be notified, according to officials.
There were no injuries reported and the building damage was not structural.
ABC6 news crews saw damage where Backstage Kitchen and Bar is located.
It’s unclear if the hotel or restaurant is open at this time.
