Car drives over ledge in Providence, driver allegedly flees the scene

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) —  A car drove through a fence before landing in a parking lot near Cedar Street in Providence Tuesday night.

ABC 6 News crews were on the scene shortly after 10 p.m. where a white pickup truck could be seen bearing heavy damage and a fence was completely destroyed.

Officials said that when responders arrived, the driver was already gone.

Neighbors told ABC 6 News that they think the car hit a dumpster and a parked car before driving through the fence and crashing to the ground.

ABC 6 has reached out to Providence police for more information and are waiting to hear back.
