Car fire spreads to home in Westport

WESTPORT, Mass. (WLNE) — The Westport Fire Department said that a fire that started on two cars spread to a house on Forge Road early Sunday morning.

Firefighters responded to the area around 5:40 a.m. to find the fire extending to the side of the house.

The department said the fire was contained to the home’s exterior, leaving very little interior damage.

It added that a neighbor noticed the fire and alerted the residents of the house, and there were no injuries.

The fire is not considered suspicious.
