Car hits woman walking her dog in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I (WLNE) – Police are investigating a crash that injured a woman who was walking her dog on Thursday.
Police say it happened just after 7:00 PM on Farmington Avenue.
According to the department, a 22-year-old woman lost control of her car before hitting a 65-year-old woman and then a house.
The driver and the victim were both taken to the hospital.
The victim is in stable condition with some broken bones.
Cranston police say the driver did not stop at a stop sign and was going over the speed limit.
The driver will be cited with the appropriate citations at a later date and no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
