Car into Mass. campground pool ‘narrowly’ misses swimmers

MONSON, Mass. (WLNE) — Monson Fire and Police Departments personnel were dispatched to a town campground Sunday for reports of a car into an occupied swimming pool, according to social media posts from both departments.

The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. at the Sunset View Campground when the departments were informed that all occupants of the car were able to make it out of the vehicle safely.

The six occupants were all evaluated on scene by Monson fire personnel.

According to the Monson Police Department, the car narrowly missed swimmers in the pool, but no one was injured.
