Car slams into pole in busy Cranston intersection

Police say they were called there around 3:30 Saturday afternoon.

CRANSTON, RI (WLNE)- Officials say a busy intersection was closed for hours in Cranston after a car slammed into an electrical pole, splitting it in half.

Around 3:30 p.m., Cranston police responded to a single-car crash on Plainfield Pike and Comstock Parkway.

Officials say the intersection would remain closed until workers replace the electrical pole. As of around 8:30 p.m., the intersection had been reopened
