Driver flees scene after striking New Bedford restaurant

NEW BEDFORD, MASS. (WLNE)- A car struck a New Bedford restaurant, after attempting to flee from police, on Friday morning.
Around 5 a.m. police responded to a Dunkin’ Donuts’ on Purchase St. for a report of two men passed out, according to New Bedford Police.
After attempting to wake the two men, the driver fled the scene, and ended up crashing into another car on County and Austin St.
Both cars crashed into La Candela Restaurant, causing damage to the building.
The male driver fled the scene once again, after striking the building.
A warrant is out for the suspects arrest.
Three people were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
