Carport, truck damaged in Providence fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A pickup truck and carport were damaged during a fire in Providence on Monday night.

Firefighters said the blaze was the result of a welding accident that occurred beneath the structure on Tell Street.

ABC 6 News crews observed significant fire damage to both the carport and vehicle.

Officials on-scene did not provide any additional information on the incident.
