Carver woman dies after crashing into telephone pole

CARVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Carver Police Department said that the crash that occurred on Main Street early Wednesday morning was fatal.
Police responded to the area around 5:30 a.m. for a crash where a telephone pole was snapped in half.
The driver of the car, a 56-year-old Carver woman, was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth where she was pronounced dead.
The department added that part of Route 58 had to be closed for police to investigate the crash, but one lane of traffic has since been reopened.
