Celebrating International Women’s Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Today is International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate the achievements of women and to support action against gender inequality.

You can mark the day by taking part in a march for women’s equal rights, or participate in a related fundraiser, festival, lecture or seminar.

Avvio is teaming up with women chefs from Newport Restaurant Group to serve a four-course dinner with wine from women winemakers.

The event starts at Avvio at 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $110 per person with tax and tip included.

Reservations are for two or four people.
